Devon based artist/photographer George Rayner received a Gane grant in September to cover the printing costs of the magazine he produced to accompany his solo exhibition ‘Back on the Farm’ at Studio Kind in Barnstaple. The magazine and exhibition are the culmination of over a years worth of work documenting the lives of young farmers in North Devon. George says of his work that it “often considers themes of climate change and unveils man’s impact upon the earth as well as his own interpretation of existence and being.” The magazine will be a long-lasting visual documentation of the project and the area at this time.
