An inspiring week in Portugal

Emerging Bristol artist Karen Painter applied successfully for a Gane Travel Award while studying at Bristol School of Art to enable her to spend a week in Cerdeira, an artists’ residence in central Portugal.
‘My week in Cerdeira, Portugal was a chance to remove myself from a busy, city life and think solely about my work, exploring different materials and drawing new inspiration’.
